A while back my sewing group decided to make silk quilts. Several members had beautiful collections of silk fabrics that had sat on the shelves long enough. I don't have much silk in my fabric hoard because I do not like sewing it. Too slippery, too much fuzz floating through the air. But I did grab up a lovely assortment of fabric from the free for all silk swap we held and sewed up a quilt using Missouri Star's foundation paper and template. Here is the result hanging briefly in Barbara Brackman's home. The turquoise bowl is a nice match, and of course I am crazy about her bird sculpture.
Will I make another silk quilt? Quote the Raven: Nevermore.
Are you sure about that nevermore? This one glows...
