It takes some weaving skills to work your way through the closed-for-construction streets, but if you can make your way to the University of Kansas' Spooner Hall at the top of Mt. Oread, you can enjoy the sight of Patrick Dougherty's latest creation. Dougherty works with saplings and tree branches to build large organic shaped structures that seem to swirl around and upward. I loved seeing this structure! He is coming to the Joslyn Museum in September to create on their lawn. I can't wait!
