I thought I had written about the quilts I made to display at our local organic/health food market, the Community Mercantile, but I sure can't find the post now. Given the opportunity to show three quilts up to 36 by 48 inches, I decided this would be a good time to make some of the quilts in Ruth McDowell's book "Pieced Vegetables". My original plan was to quickly make a carrot quilt to refresh my memory of Ruth's methods and then make a big pumpkin quilt, a big lettuce quilt and a big artichoke quilt. Well, time got away from me, so I ended up making a carrot quilt, an eggplant quilt the same size as the carrot quilt, and a big artichoke quilt. These two quilts measure about 17 by 37 inches. I'll show the artichoke next time!
these are amazing....
