Whew, Summer is certainly here. It isn't as hot as some places, and it isn't as hot as some summers here have been.... but it is too hot for me. I was thinking about tomorrow's trip home from the hospital for my mom, and thinking about the logistics of it all, when I thought about how impossible it will be to have the chocolate kisses she has survive the trip home in a summer sun-heated car. Her flowers will not enjoy the trip either. Then I remembered that the Cadbury
chocolate factory we visited in southern New Zealand last year told us that they did not have any air conditioning in their candy warehouse. It never got hot enough for them to worry about melting candy bars. Imagine that! Life near Antarctica has its' advantages.
Here is another old project I have recently finished. It is a trip journal about our time in Australia. It is winter there now.... I think I have inserted this picture so you can see a bigger version if you click on it. Everyday is a learning experience with me and Typepad. I never did get a chance to visit any fabric stores while we were in Australia, but when I got home, I found I had one fat quarter of Australian themed fabric in my stash. I am pretty sure I got it from St. Teresa's Textile Trove. I had to seriously cut and piece it to have enough fabric to make the border.
This is very nice, I have always thought Australia would be a nice place to see.
