I have been working a bit on making some more sock creatures like the one done by Molly Chicken. These small monsters are meant to hold money or gift cards. I supposedly took the "Give Handmade" pledge, but this is probably about as close as I can get to supporting that noble cause. I'll be handing out gift cards to be used at a variety of evil big corporate retailers, but they will be presented in a handmade card or monster. This not the ideal, but small steps, small steps...
Hopefully, I'll get enough small sock creatures made to be able to put some on my daughter's table at this year's Bizarre Bazaar. Now THAT is a good place to shop for the handmade!
Make a Bird a Day is on hold until after the Turkey Bird Holiday. That particular bird will be keeping me busy for a while. Also between today and Turkey Day I'm taking a quick class with Jane Dunnewold . I am thankful for many things...including getting to learn from artists like Jane!
Linda, These little socks are just adorable and ideal for the use you are giving them. I too like to include gift cards for my daughters to their favorite stores. I would love to have a pattern or instructions on how to make the more simple ones. I love all the vivid colors.
