Empty Nest

Our younger daughter graduated from college this last weekend and then packed up and moved to the Big Apple to seek fame and fortune in the TV biz. Both of my birds have flown the nest, so I only have the feathered variety to chat with around here now. And, trust me, those conversations are a bit circular and very repetitive. Worth Watching

So, I am a little slow on finding this internet gem, but it you haven't gone to this site and watched Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, find about 40 extra minutes and watch it. I think it is hysterical.

When I was in NYC last month, I walked past the studio where The David Letterman Show is taped. There were two clumps of people waiting at the studio side entrance. One bunch seemed to be "regular" people with their hands full of items to be autographed. The other bunch seemed to be paparazzi and media folks with their hands full of cameras and microphones. I had to hang around and see who they were all waiting for. Dr. Horrible (Neil Patrick Harris) himself arrived! (He's the guy in the gray t-shirt and green glasses.)

I also got to see the two USA gold metal winning women's beach volleyball players, Keri Walsh and Misty May-Treanor. Here is a picture of Keri signing autographs...too bad I didn't think to bring along a volleyball that day.
