Here we are at the end of the year, facing not only a new year's start, but also the beginning of a new decade. I certainly hope the 10's are better for everyone than the 00's have been. This is probably mostly my age talking, but it has seemed as if all of the news has been bad for so long. My wish for the world is that everyone starts doing the right thing. My personal resolutions are always the same... exercise more and eat less sugar. I never accomplish that small goal, so why would world leaders do any better in matters of huge importance? But anything could happen and all things are possible. Lets hope for the best and do as well as we can.
After a year (well, several years) spent in hospitals, rehabs and nursing homes dealing with my parents problems, I attending a wedding of a niece a couple of days ago.
It was like walking into another universe. So much excitement and happiness. Babies in arms and beautiful children running under foot. There was good food and conversation. I took some of the world's worst photos at this event! No one was still for a minute!
Dancing, dancing, dancing! Blessings, prayers and congratulations! The new married couple was so (almost heartbreakingly) young and lovely together. So much hope and kindness. Being part of this beginning was truely the best way to see off the last decade. Here's to a Happy New Year for all of us!

Happy New Year to you too Linda! I think I have some of the same resolutions and like you never seem to keep them. This year my resolution is to not make a resolution and then maybe I might keep some old ones. LOL
