What do you do when a kid moves out? You make sure they take as much stuff with them as possible. The daughter who lives close by has been the victim of a couple reverse burglaries... that is when I use my emergency key to her apartment to break in and drop off things that I am sure she can use. The younger daughter lives quite a distance away. That slows the "bequeathing", but I have managed to mail her quite a few odds and ends. The latest odds to be mailed is a short stepladder that I wanted out of the garage. It was not easy to convince her that she needed this item for her big city/tiny studio apartment, but I managed. I sanded it down, polished the metal parts and painted the wood. An added square of plywood makes it into.... a bed-side table that folds up! A bed-side table that can also double as a short stepladder.
Into the mail it goes!
