I think they are lovely. I can remember using crayon shavings, wax paper and an iron to dye designs on t-shirts when I was a teenager. We even used this method to dye scarves for cub scout moms. They were so delighted with the outcome and they had such fun "sharpening" the crayons to get the shavings colors they wanted. I am sure your technique was much more costly though and more lasting.
