I haven't forgotten my resolution to finish an old project for every new project started... Here is an old project, now finished, but it is not as old as it looks. The brown fabric may be vintage, but the rest of it is new and only a year or two in process. I was pattern testing for Fabri-quilt when I made this sunflower block. I think Virginia Robertson was the designer. The block was beautiful enough to deserve being joined by a dozen or so others and made into a quilt...but it is time to face facts that the rest of the quilt is not going to get constructed. It looks pretty good as a pillow, though, and I am quite happy with it. This picture was taken in our newly blue room on top of the new home office desk that we splurged on. I'm still struggling with color correction, so the blue is not accurate. Use your imagination and just picture your favorite blue! My new Jennifer Conway witch crow flew in to see if she could help out. My real birds are not as good at posing, unfortunately, otherwise I'd have one of them in the picture.
