The Last Day! Finally! To celebrate, I am going to cheat and the thing I am going to make is a plug for a magazine that has one of my quilts on the cover of the Spring issue. Check out KANSAS! Magazine to see a quilt that I made about 10 years ago as a block of the month project for my local quilt guild. Each month we did a block that showed either a good thing about Kansas or a bad thing about Kansas. Most of the bad things involved weather... wind, flood, tornadoes...And the good things were Kansas icons... buffalo, sunflower, windmill, stone fence posts.
I hadn't looked at this quilt for quite while when the magazine asked to borrow it to photograph. Gosh, that ten years went by fast! Back then, I didn't generally photograph my work so this is just a partial shot of the quilt. I haven't seen the article that goes with the cover, but I've been told that it does a good job telling about Kansas quilters. So, here I am on the other side of the world, thinking about Kansas. Kansas...do I miss you?...well, maybe a little.
